When I planned my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I expected vibrant coral reefs. And I found them. But I discovered something on Amadive Con Dao's dive list: **A Shipwreck Dive**. My pulse jumped. This was more than a typical dive; this was an adventure into the past.

I'll admit, I was a bit a little apprehensive. Wreck diving requires extra care. But the crew at **Amadive** was absolutely professional. The Divemasters provided an excellent briefing. We covered our safety procedures, the history of the wreck, and what to expect below. Being in a small group instantly made me feel confident.

Going down was surreal. At first, it's a click here dark shape in the blue, and then it appeared. It was huge. The ship is now a bustling artificial reef, covered in soft corals and teeming with marine life. We saw giant groupers peeking from inside the hull, and lionfish patrolling the superstructure. That feeling of gliding next to this silent, ghostly structure is hard to describe—haunting, awe-inspiring, and humbling all at once. It's a time capsule under the water.

For any an Open Water diver (or higher) coming to Con Dao and looking for something more the standard reef, I cannot recommend this **dive** enough.
